Major Mishap Averted in Betul: Rail Traffic Hit by Fallen HT Wire

A major accident was narrowly avoided in Betul as a high tension wire fell onto the railway track, disrupting train movement. Several trains were affected, and rail services were restored after a 5-hour halt. Authorities acted swiftly to prevent any casualties.

In Betul district of Madhya Pradesh, a high tension wire broke and fell on the railway line. Due to which the railway track came to a standstill. Many trains stopped on the Delhi-Chennai route. After about 5 hours of hard work, rail traffic was restored.

A 33 kV high tension wire fell on the railway's OHE cable at 3 am in Kosmi area of Betul. It is being told that the insulator of the high tension line burst, due to which the cable guard broke and fell on the railway track. Due to which the OHE line of both the railway tracks got damaged. The movement of trains came to a complete halt. As soon as the information was received, the technical team of Nagpur Railway Division reached the spot and started the repair work.

After about 5 hours of hard work, the OHE line was repaired. After this the railway track was started. Many trains were affected due to the wire breaking and falling. Panchveli Express was stopped at Betul station for five hours. Samta Express Malkapur, Trikul Express and Jayanti Express were stationed at Multai.

On the other hand, Rajdhani Express, Duronto Express, Gondwana Express, Jabalpur Express, Patalkot Express, AP Express and Jayanti Express are running late. At present, the rail traffic system has become normal.
