Mandsaur Doctor Thrashed at Hotel as Wife Catches Him with Girlfriend
A 50-year-old physician’s birthday plan for his partner led to a late-night raid, a viral video, and a police case in Mandsaur.
A late-night celebration turned into a high-voltage showdown at a hotel on Wednesday when a doctor’s wife allegedly caught him with another woman, leading to a public thrashing that was filmed and has since gone viral. The incident, which took place around 11 pm at Samta Palace Hotel near Nahata Square, has become the talk of the town, highlighting a bitter personal dispute that spilled into the public domain.
The Hotel Raid
The man identified as Zulfikar Ali, a 50-year-old physician from Shamgarh, had checked into the hotel with his 38-year-old girlfriend, a resident of Multanpura. According to sources, Ali was there to celebrate the woman’s birthday, which falls on Thursday. However, the plan unraveled when the doctor’s wife arrived at the location accompanied by her brother and sister-in-law. Officials familiar with the matter said the wife had received a tip-off about her husband’s whereabouts.
Birthday plan leads to beating
As soon as the hotel room door opened, the wife allegedly lost her composure. Initial reports indicate she began slapping both her husband and the other woman repeatedly. The situation escalated within minutes. The wife, along with her sister-in-law, reportedly grabbed the girlfriend by her hair, dragged her down a flight of stairs from the first floor, and continued the assault. A separate scuffle broke out between the wife’s brother and Zulfikar Ali. A video of the incident, showing the chaotic scene inside the hotel corridor, is now circulating widely on social media.
Police Intervention
Following the commotion, Dial-112 emergency services arrived and brought the situation under control. The police took both parties to the local station for questioning. Subsequently, Ali and his girlfriend were sent to the district hospital for a medical examination. However, when the police returned to the station after the medico-legal formalities, they found that Ali’s family members had already left. “No formal complaint has been filed by any party as of late night. Given the lack of a complainant, the police conducted preliminary paperwork and released both the doctor and the woman,” a local official stated, requesting anonymity.
Background and fallout
Local sources suggest this wasn’t a sudden discovery. It is being alleged that the doctor’s relationship with the woman was a contributing factor to her divorce from her former husband roughly six months ago. Meanwhile, the legal wife has returned to her residence with her relatives. Police say they are monitoring the situation and will file an FIR if a formal complaint is received. For now, the doctor has reportedly left Mandsaur with his partner as the video continues to spark debates across the district.
