Metro Coaches to Be Manufactured in MP; Rajnath Singh to Lay Foundation Stone on Aug 10

Madhya Pradesh will soon host a metro coach manufacturing facility, with the factory to be established in a designated district. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will perform the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony on August 10.
Along with the metro running in the capital Bhopal and Indore, now metro coaches will also be made in Madhya Pradesh. The new coach manufacturing plant of Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), an undertaking of the Ministry of Defense, is going to take shape in Raisen district. On August 10, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is going to perform its Bhoomi Pujan.
The proposed plant will be built in an area of 148 acres at a cost of about 1800 crores. Vande Bharat and other state-of-the-art train coaches will be manufactured in it. The factory will be set up in Umaria village of Goharganj tehsil of Raisen district. The exercise to set up the factory was going on for a long time.
With the approval of land allotment under the chairmanship of MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the land allotment documents were officially handed over to BEML in a program held in Bengaluru in the month of May. The CM has said that this will further strengthen the domestic production capacity.
