Mother Strangles 28-Day-Old Infant in Bhind After Domestic Dispute; Husband Attacked, Woman Arrested
Bhind, MP
In a shocking incident from Malnpur, Ward No. 14 in Bhind district, a 20-year-old woman allegedly strangled her 28-day-old infant son to death late Saturday night.
The woman, identified as Usha Baghel, was later arrested by police after also attacking her husband when he tried to intervene.
According to police reports, Usha’s husband, Jagnnath Singh Baghel (21), who works as a daily wage laborer, told investigators that his wife had been suspicious of his character for the past few days, leading to frequent arguments. On Saturday night, during one such dispute, Usha lost control and allegedly killed their newborn son.
When Jagnnath tried to stop her, Usha reportedly attacked him as well, leaving him injured. He later alerted the neighbors, who called the police.
Infant Born Just 28 Days Ago
