Last year, "Missing Ladies" was also nominated for an Oscar. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav congratulated the entire film team on this prestigious achievement. This is an unprecedented moment of pride not only for the film industry but for the entire state of Madhya Pradesh." The Madhya Pradesh Film Tourism Policy 2025 has simplified filming by introducing a single-window system, transparent procedures, and simplified permissions. It also provides attractive financial incentives. In 2024, a major portion of the film "Homebound" was shot in the natural, cultural, and urban environments of Bhopal and surrounding areas in Madhya Pradesh. The film's international acclaim is a testament to the state's film-friendly policies and the success of the locations suited to the film's story. It's worth noting that "Homebound" is produced under the Dharma Productions banner. This is their fifth film to be shot in Madhya Pradesh. The film is produced by Karan Johar and directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, whose previous film "Masaan" was also highly praised by audiences. "Homebound" stars Ishaan Khattar, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles.

New Tourism Policy Makes Filming Easier

Madhya Pradesh's new film tourism policy has simplified the process of obtaining permissions through a single-window system, while subsidies have provided incentives for producers and directors. Following Madhya Pradesh's Film Tourism Policy, more than 350 films and web series have been shot in the state. Financial grants totaling over ₹24 crore have been provided to 12 Hindi films, one Telugu film, and six web series. Madhya Pradesh has also been honored with the "Most Film-Friendly State" award by the Government of India.
