Heavy Rain Alert in Barwani, Khandwa, and Khargone

The southwest monsoon has entered Madhya Pradesh, bringing heavy rainfall to several districts. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red, orange, and yellow alerts across the state. Barwani, Khandwa, and Khargone are among the districts under orange alert for very heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds. Residents are advised to stay updated and take necessary precautions.
Southwest monsoon has entered Madhya Pradesh on Monday. With the sudden change in weather and the activation of monsoon, rain started in Barwani, Khandwa, Khargone and Burhanpur. During this, rain was recorded in many districts including the capital Bhopal. Heavy rain has given relief to people from scorching heat and heat wave. In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 68 mm was recorded in Vidisha.
Today there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorm with strong winds of 40-50 km / h in Bhopal, Raisen, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Rewa, Satna, Umaria, Katni, Jabalpur, Panna, Sagar, Damoh, Chhatarpur and Tikamgarh.
Monsoon can knock in Bhopal-Indore in the next 2 days. At the same time, it will reach Gwalior-Chambal last. If the weather department is to be believed, the monsoon will cover the entire state in a week.
On Monday, the monsoon reached the state through 4 districts- Barwani, Khargone, Khandwa and Burhanpur. These districts received spells of rain. According to the weather department, the maximum rainfall of 1.25 inches occurred in Naugaon of Chhatarpur district in 9 hours on Monday. Rewa also received more than 1 inch of rain. Mandla received half an inch of rain. Dhar, Guna, Ratlam, Sagar, Satna, Balaghat, Khandwa, Barwani, Tikamgarh, Ashoknagar, Harda also received spells of rain.
