Madhya Pradesh police have arrested 24 individuals in a major recruitment scam involving fraudulent candidates and impersonation during police exams. The investigation has revealed connections to organized crime networks operating from Bihar and Chhattisgarh, prompting a broader inquiry across state lines.

A case of fraud has come to light in Madhya Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Examination-2023, in which the selected candidates got the exam conducted by solvers by changing the photo and fingerprint, manipulating the Aadhar card. So far 16 FIRs have been registered in 6 districts in this case and 24 accused have also been arrested so far. Its strings are connected not only to Madhya Pradesh, but also to other states like Chhattisgarh and Bihar.
According to the information received by the Police Headquarters, many new constables had made solvers sit in their place in the written exam by tampering with the Aadhar card and changing the photo and biometric data. After passing the exam, these candidates again updated their real identity in the Aadhaar, thereby rigging the recruitment process and getting selected.
Most solvers from Bihar gave the exam
Most solvers from Bihar have given the exam. Investigation has revealed that the Cusec operator updated the Aadhaar cards using the login password of the Aadhaar centre of Chhattisgarh. One solver even appeared in the examination of 7 candidates in different districts of the state. Munna Bhai took 5 to 10 lakh rupees from the candidates. The number of Munna Bhais who appeared in the constable recruitment examination may cross 50.

The police fear that after the action, many candidates who passed fraudulently may avoid coming for joining. Fraud has come to light in 8 districts of the state, which include Shivpuri, Sheopur, Indore, Gwalior, Alirajpur, Rajgarh, Morena, Shahdol. The police have so far registered 16 FIRs in the case, in which 17 candidates have been booked and 24 have been arrested. At the same time, a reward of Rs 10,000 has been announced on the absconding accused. Let us tell you that recruitment was announced for 7411 posts in 2023.
