Narmadapuram Road Accident Kills 5, Injures 7 on Pipariya Highway

Narmadapuram road accident leaves five dead and seven injured after a Tavera collided with a tractor-trolley on the Pipariya state highway.

A Narmadapuram road accident claimed five lives and left seven others injured after a Tavera vehicle collided with a tractor-trolley on the Narmadapuram-Pipariya state highway in Madhya Pradesh in the early hours of Monday. The crash took place near Anchalkheda village at around 1 am when the victims were returning from a wedding Celebration in Budhni, police said.

The deceased and injured were residents of Mahendrawadi and Makhan Nagar areas in Narmadapuram district. Officials said the group had attended the wedding of a local resident, identified as Raghvendra Morappa, and was on its way back home when the accident occurred.

Crash Near Anchalkheda

According to police, the Tavera was travelling towards Mahendrawadi when it collided with the side of a tractor-trolley carrying grain. The tractor-trolley was approaching from the Narmadapuram side when the two vehicles came into contact during a crossing near Anchalkheda.

The impact was severe and left the Tavera mangled beyond recognition. Eyewitnesses and local residents rushed to the spot after hearing the sound of the collision and alerted the police.

Five Declared Dead

Police teams reached the scene and, with the help of villagers and passersby, shifted the injured and the deceased to the district hospital in Narmadapuram. Doctors at the hospital declared five occupants dead on arrival.

The deceased were identified as Shubham Morappa, 18, Vineet Yadav, 22, Sahil Yadav, 19, Hari Singh, 57, all residents of Mahendrawadi, and Santosh Prajapati of Thakur Mohalla in Makhan Nagar.

Hospital sources said the bodies were sent for post-mortem examination, which will be conducted in Narmadapuram on Monday.

Seven Sustain Injuries

Seven others sustained injuries in the crash and were admitted to the district hospital, where treatment is underway. The injured were identified as Aman Yadav, Vinod Uikey, Bharat Yadav, Akash Ivne, Devansh Ivne, Sumit Morappa and Rajesh Dhurve.

According to officials, some of the injured suffered multiple fractures and blunt trauma. Their condition remains under medical observation.

Hospital Sees Rush

The accident triggered panic in the area and led to heavy movement at the district hospital through the night. Family members of the victims and local residents gathered in large numbers after news of the collision spread.

Hospital authorities and police personnel managed the crowd as relatives waited for updates on the condition of the injured and formal identification of the deceased.

Police Begin Probe

Police have started an investigation into the cause of the crash. Preliminary findings suggest the Tavera rammed into the side of the tractor-trolley during a crossing, though officials said the exact sequence of events would be established after a detailed inquiry.

According to officials, investigators are examining whether poor visibility, speed, or road conditions contributed to the collision. Statements of survivors and the tractor driver are expected to form part of the probe.
