NEET aspirant hangs herself in Kolar: Leaves note behind in which she said -“I am sorry mummy-papa, I couldn’t do much, love you.”

On Thursday night, a 21-year-old woman preparing for the NEET examination was found dead at her house in Kolar, the police reported on Friday. The police said that the case is of suicide and they also recovered a suicide note from the scene in which she said “I am sorry mummy-papa, I couldn’t do much, love you.” Police are investigating the matter and will examine mobile CDRs and family statements.
Woman died by suicide named Aastha Singh
The Police identified the woman who took the extreme step as Aastha Singh. Her father, Arvind Singh, works as a bank manager in Betul. She was a native of Betul, and lived with her mother at Siddhi Samriddhi Apartments on Kolar Road where she was preparing for NEET.
On the day of suicide, her mother was occupied with household work while Aastha was in her room. After some time, her mother went to call her, but found the door locked from the inside her mother panicked and called neighbours for the help.
Police discover her hanging
When Aastha’s door went unanswered, her mother called a nearby relative for help. As the apartment have central lock system and the system did not let them open the door easily, the family called the police fearing an emergency. The police broke Aastha’s room door and discovered her hanging from a ligature. A legal process to official investigation to know the reason behind the suicide is going on.
Checking call records
The police said that after finding the suicide note, they are now going to check mobile phone CDR and record statements from family members, which will help them finding the truth behind the suicide and may be knowing the possible motives or pressures she had been facing.
