No Handcuffs for Prisoners This Rakshabandhan in Jabalpur Jail; Special Tents Arranged

Jabalpur Central Jail will celebrate Rakshabandhan with dignity as inmates won’t be handcuffed. The jail management has arranged separate tents to facilitate the festival celebrations.
The wrist of any prisoner lodged in Jabalpur Central Jail of Madhya Pradesh will not remain empty. The festival of Rakshabandhan will be celebrated in the jail this year as well. The jail management has made special arrangements this time. Separate tents will be set up for the prisoners, so that the meeting can take place in an orderly manner.
The jail administration has issued some guidelines regarding Rakshabandhan. Rakshabandhan, the festival of the sacred relationship of brother and sister, will be celebrated on 9 August 2025 this year. On this occasion, like previous years, there will be an open meeting for the prisoners lodged in the jail and their families (especially sisters).
The jail administration has issued detailed guidelines to make this meeting smooth and systematic. So that the sisters coming here do not face any kind of inconvenience. Deputy Jail Superintendent Madan Kamlesh said that this is an annual tradition under which brothers and sisters can meet each other by sitting face to face.
