Over 15 Lakh Added to MP Free Ration List, New Apps via e-KYC

Good news for MP residents receiving free ration: Over 15 lakh names will be added to the PDS, and new applications will be approved through e-KYC.

If you take advantage of free ration scheme in Madhya Pradesh, then this news is for you. The Mohan Yadav government is gearing up to bring transparency in the Public Distribution System (PDS). Now the names of more than 1.5 million new eligible people are going to be included in the PDS list. In fact, the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection has cleaned the system through e-KYC process. So far, the names of more than 24 lakh ineligible beneficiaries have been dropped from the list in this campaign. These include fake cards, names of dead persons, or long -standing people.

According to department officials, these steps have been taken under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), so that grains reach the true entitlements. The government will approve new applications only by making e-KYC. The department is collecting information about this. If your name is accidentally removed from the list or you want to take a new benefit, get e-KYC on the nearest ration shop or online portal as soon as possible. This process is easy with Aadhaar card, mobile number and bank details.

The Food Department has clearly stated that ineligible names will be removed continuously, but the characters will not have any problem. These steps will not only save the government treasury, but will also directly benefit the poor. Madhya Pradesh has a total of more than 5.5 crore PDS beneficiaries, and this improvement will make them stronger.
