Pahalgam Attack Protest: Pakistan’s Effigy Burnt in Bhopal & Indore
Widespread outrage erupted in Bhopal and Indore as citizens took to the streets to protest the Pahalgam terror attack. Demonstrators burnt effigies of Pakistan, raising slogans against terrorism and demanding strict action. The protests reflected deep anger and solidarity with the victims.
There is a wave of anger in the whole country over the terrorist attack near Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. Madhya Pradesh was also not untouched by this incident. In many parts of the state including the capital Bhopal, Hindu organizations and Muslim society took to the streets and registered strong protest against this heinous attack. Raising slogans against Pakistan and terrorism, people demanded strict action.
Pakistan's effigy was burnt under the leadership of Jai Hind Sena at Bharat Mata Square in Bhopal. Activists of Hindu organizations demanded from the central government that such decisive action should be taken against the terrorists, which would become a warning for the coming generations.
On the other hand, at Char Batti Square, the Muslim community also burnt the effigy of Pakistan while protesting against this terrorist attack. This protest was led by Congress MLA Arif Masood. During this, a large number of common citizens and party workers were present.
Voice of protest echoed in Indore too
In Indore, Hindu organization leader Santosh Sharma strongly condemned this incident while talking to the media. He said, "This attack is not only on humanity but on the whole of India. These terrorists did not come to listen to Kalma, they killed people after asking their names. The government will now have to take the strictest steps."
It is worth noting that on Tuesday, terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on tourists in Baisaran Valley, six kilometers away from Pahalgam. So far 26 people have died in this attack, including two foreign nationals. While more than 12 people are seriously injured.
A family belonging to Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh also came under the attack. LIC officer Sushil Kumar Nathaniel died in this attack, while his daughter Akanksha was shot in the leg. She is working in Bank of Baroda in Surat. Sushil along with his wife Jennifer, daughter Akanksha and son Aston had gone to Kashmir for a holiday a few days ago. His family currently resides in Veena Nagar, Indore.
