Police constable shoot in Gwalior; Former MLA took him to the hospital

On Thursday night former Congress MLA from Sumawali, Neetu Sikarwar, took Police constable from Indore who was shot and looted by four bike-borne thieves in Gwalior. The attackers snatched his mobile phone and 30,000Rs cash.

The victim has been identified as Constable Pramod Tyagi, currently posted at Rajendrad Nagar Police Station, Indore. Who was on his way to his native village Joura in Morena district to visit his father when the incident happened.

The incident happened near a petrol pump in the Paniyar police station area around 9:30 pm. Tyagi sustained pellet injuries in his hand and was left bleeding by the attackers before they ran.

Rescued by the former MLA

After the attack, Constable Tyagi, was bleeding heavly and injured, asking for help on the roadside. Former Congress MLA from Sumawali, Neetu Sikarwar, who was returning from an event, seen him and rushed to help him. He immediately stopped his vehicle, informed the police, and rushed to the hospital with injured constable in his car.

Initially the treatment was going on trauma centre, Tyagi was later referred to JAYAROGYA Group of Hospitals in Gwalior. His condition is now out of danger Doctor has confirmed.

Hunt for attackers

After the attack on a police constable the people are scared and want quick action on the matter. Taking the matter seriously, Gwalior Police have begun a manhunt for the four unidentified attackers. Police are scanning CCTV footage from the petrol pump and surrounding areas to track the culprits.
