Politics Heats Up Over Hamidia Name Change: BJP MLA, Minister Make Controversial Statements

Debate erupts over renaming Hamidia as BJP MLA Rameshwar claims all Bhopal properties belong to Raja Bhoj, while Minister Patel asserts that a Nawab cannot be considered a patriot, igniting political and historical tensions.

Politics is going on to change the name of Hamidia in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. BJP has retaliated on the statement of Congress MLA Arif Masood. MLA Rameshwar Sharma said- Arif Masood, I want to tell you that if you do not know the history of India, the Nawab did not have any property inside Bhopal. Whatever property was inside Bhopal was the property of Raja Bhoj. Raja Bhoj was the original king of Bhopal and the settlement of Bhopal and the construction of this big pond in Bhopal was all done by Raja Bhoj.

The Nawab had opposed the merger with India

The Nawab had in a way usurped the property of Raja Bhoj and Rani Kamlapati and after usurping their property, misused it. When India became independent, he was equally loyal after independence. Hamidullah sahab was ungrateful, if he was not, then why did he not come forward when all the kings and Maharajas of the world were moving forward to raise the tricolour flag of the country along with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel after merging their kingdoms with India. It is wrong to say that it is the Nawab's estate, the Nawab did not have any estate.
