Rahul Gandhi to Launch Organizational Revamp Campaign in Bhopal: Will Hold Direct Talks with Congress Workers

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, will visit Bhopal on Tuesday, June 3, to formally launch the Congress’s Organizational Revamp Campaign in Madhya Pradesh. From 10 AM to 4 PM, he will participate in meetings held at the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) office and Ravindra Bhavan, where he will engage in direct discussions with party workers, office bearers, and observers.

Tight Security at Congress Office
Stringent security measures have been implemented at the state Congress office. Bomb squads and security agency personnel have been deployed on-site. The Congress office has been placed under complete security cover.

Organizational Revamp to Reshape Congress

Former Union Minister Arun Yadav and senior leader Sajjan Singh Verma, in a joint press conference, said Rahul Gandhi’s visit would infuse new energy and direction into the state Congress. Yadav called it a “historic moment for Madhya Pradesh,” stating, “Under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, we will form the government in 2028.”

The Organizational Revamp Campaign will continue for a month, during which Rahul Gandhi will visit various districts and interact with grassroots workers. This initiative will emphasize the role of active and dedicated workers at every level of the party structure.

Youth to Take the Lead

Former Minister Sajjan Singh Verma said the Congress aims to assign key responsibilities to youth through this campaign. He added, “Rahul Gandhi is a leader who raises grassroots issues like caste census, while the BJP remains busy with event management.”

He further said that Rahul Gandhi believes the party’s future rests on the shoulders of the youth, and hence, young workers will be prioritized in the revamp process.

BJP's Jibe at the Campaign

On the other hand, BJP leader Rameshwar Sharma took a dig at Rahul Gandhi’s visit, even labeling Congress a “sleeper cell.” He remarked that the Congress should introspect before calling its own workers “traitors.” He dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s campaign as a “political drama.”
