Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh is again in controversy. A professor has been accused of assaulting and misbehaving with a guest scholar. Guest scholar Dhirendra Kumar Maurya working in RDVV has complained about this. Head of Mathematics Department JK Maitra has been accused of assault.
He is accused of calling the guest faculty on duty in the counseling center and assaulting him in front of students and staff. The dispute is said to be regarding the result of B.Tech first semester. The victim guest scholar has complained to the Vice Chancellor of RDVV.
The guest scholar has written a letter demanding action against the head of the department.
