Regional Tourism Conclave in Gwalior on Aug 29-30, Focus on Investment

To boost tourism investment in Madhya Pradesh, a Regional Tourism Conclave is being organized in Gwalior on 29-30 August. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav will hold one-to-one discussions with investors and industrialists.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will also directly interact with the investors in the Regional Tourism Conclave to be held on 29 and 30 August in Gwalior by making them aware of the possibilities of investment in the tourism sector in the state. Regional Tourism Conclave will be held in Gwalior with the aim of increasing the number of tourists in the state and encouraging tourism investment in Gwalior-Chambal and Sagar divisions. Union Communications and North Eastern Region Development Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar will be present in this Regional Tourism Conclave to be held at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Agricultural University, Gwalior.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism, Culture and Religious Trusts and Endowments Dharmendra Singh Lodhi said that Regional Tourism Conclave is being organized in Gwalior with the aim of promoting cooperation and partnership between tourism businessmen, tour operators and hotel industry with the increase in the number of tourists in Madhya Pradesh. This will give a new dimension to investment in the tourism sector of Gwalior. This conclave, centered on the theme "Timeless Gwalior: Echoes of Culture, Spirit of Legacy", is an important initiative towards encouraging tourism investment, cultural heritage, experiential tourism and regional development.

Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture and Managing Director Tourism Board Shiv Shekhar Shukla said that Letters of Award (LoA) will be provided to investors in the hotel, resort, wellness and eco-tourism sector in the conclave. There will also be MoUs and contracts. These projects will provide tourism-based employment to the local community and regional tourism will get a boost with stability. Important decisions will be taken to accelerate the development of the region. A special tourism exhibition will also be organized in the conclave, which will include stalls dedicated to various tourist destinations, tourism units, hospitality brands, home-stays, resorts, handloom/handicrafts, adventure activities and cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh.

Principal Secretary Shukla said that there will be two important sessions in the Regional Tourism Conclave. The first panel discussion will be on the topic "Tourism as a Cultural Bridge - Branding Gwalior and Heartland of MP", which will discuss strategies to establish Gwalior's cultural heritage, classical music and architecture on the global tourism map. The second panel discussion will focus on the topic "Gwalior and Chambal Rising - Inbound Appeal through Heritage, Luxury and Experience", which will discuss new dimensions like heritage, luxury stay, destination wedding and experiential tourism.
