Sakal Hindu Samaj Holds Protest in Bhopal, Seeks Probe into Model Khushboo Ahirwar’s Death

A large group of community members staged a demonstration outside the Bhopal Collectorate on Friday, demanding a high-level investigation into the death of model Khushboo Ahirwar and immediate security for her family. The protest was organised under the banner of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Vishwa Mahapeeth Madhya Pradesh and several affiliated groups.

Led by Suraj Kero, National General Secretary (Organisation) of the Mahapeeth, the gathering included community leaders, local residents, and several saints. Participants held a sit-in outside the Collectorate and called for strict action based on the ongoing police investigation. Organisers alleged that the circumstances surrounding Khushboo’s death were suspicious and required urgent scrutiny.

According to police information shared earlier, Khushboo Ahirwar, also known as Khushi Verma, had been living in a rented accommodation in Bhopal and was in a live-in relationship with a man identified as Qasim. Police said she was admitted to a hospital by Qasim, who left the premises shortly after. The hospital informed authorities, following which a case of unnatural death was registered and an investigation was initiated.

Khushboo, 27, had been residing in Bhopal for nearly three years and worked as a model for local brands while supporting herself through part-time jobs. Her family told police she had aspirations to advance her career and had left her studies after the first year of her BA course.

After the demonstration, representatives submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister through ADM Ankur Meshram. The memorandum demanded comprehensive scrutiny of the case and stern legal action if wrongdoing is established.

Among those present were Hindu Utsav Samiti president Chandrashekhar Tiwari, Mahapeeth state president Barelal Ahirwar, District Panchayat vice-president Mohan Singh Jat, and Chetan Bhargav. Police have continued their inquiry and have yet to release further findings regarding the incident.
