Devotees Flock, CM Yadav’s Visit & Road Safety Meet

Devotees throng Karauli Mata Temple in Gwalior on the third day of the Shakti festival; CM Dr. Mohan Yadav's program and a Road Safety Committee meeting also scheduled today.

Navratri, the great festival of devotion to Shakti, has entered its third day, and Gwalior's famous Karauli Mata Temple is thronged with devotees. Located in the Mahalgaon area, the Karauli Mata Temple is a manifestation of Rajrajeshwari Mata from Karauli, Rajasthan. This temple was built approximately 200 years ago. It is believed that Mahant Hiralal Ji Maharaj, after having a vision of the Goddess in a dream, brought the Goddess's Pindi from Karauli and installed it here. In 1992, the Goddess's idol was brought from Jaipur, and later consecrated.

The temple's distinctive feature is its palatial ramparts, which make it even more grand. Devotees believe that Karauli Mata fills the empty laps of women and fulfils their wishes. Upon the fulfillment of a wish, devotees offer their hair, a symbol of their unwavering devotion.
