Speeding Car Runs Over 3 Friends in Bhopal; One in Critical Condition

A tragic accident occurred late night on May 30 in Bhopal’s New Market area when a speeding car ran over three friends who were having snacks by the roadside. Surendra Malviya (27) is in critical condition. Amit Chauhan and Anil Dadge have also sustained serious injuries. All three have been admitted to Narmada Trauma Center, where Surendra is currently in the ICU.

CCTV Footage of the Accident Emerges
According to police, the accident took place at around 3:39 AM near Panchanan Building in New Market when the three were having tea and snacks by the roadside. Suddenly, a speeding car coming from the wrong side hit them hard. The impact was so severe that the car ran over Surendra’s leg, leaving him in critical condition.

Driver Was Intoxicated; Accused Fled the Scene
Preliminary investigations reveal that three to four youths were inside the car, and they were intoxicated. After the accident, the accused fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Police have obtained footage from nearby CCTV cameras and are currently conducting raids to catch the accused.

Police Register Case, Searching for Accused
Manasingh Choudhary, the in-charge of TT Nagar police station, said a case has been registered against the unidentified driver. Efforts are ongoing to identify and arrest the accused. Police are confident that the culprits will be apprehended soon.

Families of the Injured Demand Justice
Amit Chauhan runs a clothing stall in New Market, and Surendra and Anil are his longtime friends. The three often gathered late at night for snacks. Following this tragic incident, the families and local residents have appealed to the administration for swift justice.
