Stationery Shop Employee Dies by Suicide in Indore; Family Cites Work Stress

A 48-year-old stationery shop employee from Indore allegedly died by suicide early Sunday morning, reportedly due to work-related stress.

 The incident took place in the Hiranagar area, where the man’s wife discovered him hanging at home around 4 a.m.

According to police, the deceased, identified as Mahesh Kesari, a resident of Meghdoot Nagar, had gone to bed after offering prayers on Saturday night. When his wife woke up early in the morning, she found him hanging. She immediately informed family members and the police.

The police sent the body to MY Hospital for postmortem and have begun an investigation. No suicide note was found at the scene.

Family members said Mahesh was a simple and humble person who worked at a stationery shop in the Ranipura area. They claimed he had been under work pressure lately, which might have driven him to take the extreme step. Mahesh lived with his parents, brother, and wife, and is survived by three daughters who are all studying.


Another Death in Indore: Man Succumbs to Head Injuries 10 Days After Fall

In a separate incident, a 25-year-old man from Panchmurti Nagar died after battling for life for ten days following a fall from stairs. The deceased, identified as Deepak, son of Ramesh Choudhary, suffered multiple skull fractures in the incident that occurred on the day of Bhai Dooj.

Police said Deepak lost his balance while climbing to an upper room and fell, sustaining severe head injuries. He was rushed to MY Hospital, where he remained under treatment. Despite medical efforts, he passed away on Saturday evening.

Family members said Deepak lived with his parents, wife, one son, younger brother, and sister. He worked as a daily wage laborer (hammali). Chandan Nagar police have registered a marg (inquest) in the case and begun further investigation.
