Stone Pelting Hits VIP Trains: Safety Concerns Rise Nationwide

Even VIP trains are no longer safe—stone pelting incidents have occurred four times in just one week, raising serious concerns about the safety of passengers from common citizens to dignitaries. MP Minister admitted, "Stopping stone pelters has become a major challenge for us.

Stone pelting incident has happened for the fourth time within a week in trains passing through Delhi Bhopal railway track. Passengers are terrified due to such incidents. At the same time, questions are being raised on the security of VIP trains. At the time of stone pelting incident on Shatabdi Express near Vidisha on Tuesday, MP's Minister of State for Health Narendra Shivaji Patel was also travelling in Shatabdi. The minister has demanded the government to curb the stone pelters.

Travelling in VIP trains on Bhopal-Delhi railway track is also not safe. VIP trains like Gatiman, Shatabdi and Vande Bharat are also not safe on this track. On Tuesday, stone pelting incident happened for the fourth time in a week on Shatabdi Express going from Bhopal to Nizamuddin. Meena Devi and Jamuna Devi, residents of Gwalior, had boarded Shatabdi Express from Bhopal station in C-4 coach for Gwalior.

After leaving Bhopal, when the train moved ahead from Mandi Bamora station, stones were pelted on the Shatabdi train on the outer, a stone hit Meena Devi's window, the glass of the window broke. Due to which the passengers got terrified. The affected passengers say that if this is the condition of security in VIP trains like Shatabdi Express, Vande Bharat, then the security of common trains and common passengers is at the mercy of God. Railway administration should make strict arrangements.

Railway officials said - most incidents happen on VIP trains

After the sound of a loud explosion, the train staff informed Bhopal and Jhansi control about the stone pelting. Railway officials working in express trains also believe that stone pelting on Shatabdi Express for the fourth time within a week raises questions on security. CTI of Jhansi Railway Division, Atma Ram says that most of the incidents of stone pelting in the whole year have happened on VIP trains.
