Strict Security for Navratri in Bhopal
Bhopal,M.P
Administration makes CCTV mandatory at puja pandals and garba venues, with deployment of female volunteers and security staff for safety.
The administration has taken strict measures to ensure peace and security during the upcoming Navratri festival in Bhopal, the capital. Puja pandals and Garba events will be under special surveillance, including the mandatory installation of CCTV cameras and the deployment of female volunteers. Under guidelines issued following a recent video conference meeting with DGP Sudhir Saxena, the installation of CCTV cameras has been made mandatory at all puja pandals and Garba venues. Security personnel will be deployed near each pandal to ensure peace and order in the city during the nine days of Navratri. This arrangement places special emphasis on the safety of women and girls, with instructions to continue patrolling even after Garba ends.
Female volunteers will be deployed to strengthen women's security. Tableau displays and Garba events will end as scheduled. The use of DJ sound systems and loudspeakers will also be required to stop at the designated time. Garba venues will be monitored by sadhus, saints, sanyasis, members of Hindu organizations, as well as the police and administration. In addition, arrangements have been made for surveillance and videography using drone cameras. Special attention will also be paid to fire safety, entry-exit points, and medical facilities.
These arrangements have been made in view of the large crowds expected during Navratri 2025, which begins on September 22nd and ends on October 1st. Organizers are urged to adhere to the guidelines so that the festival can be celebrated with pomp and without any untoward incidents.
