Tender of Turkiye's Asis Guard Company cancelled in Indore: BRTS work was given in 2019
The tender awarded to Turkiye's Asis Guard Company in 2019 for BRTS operations in Indore has been cancelled, citing unresolved issues and project delays.
After the metro in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, now Turkiye's company will be out of BRTS as well. Indore Mayor has ordered the cancellation of the contract. Actually, in 2019, Turkiye's Asis Guard Company was given the work of revenue and ticket collection.
The troubles of Turkiye's Asis Guard Company are increasing in Indore. After the name of Turkiye's company came up in the metro project, now this company is going to be cut from BRTS as well. Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava has given instructions to cancel the contract of the company.
This company was handling the responsibility of revenue and ticket collection in Indore BRTS since the year 2019. But now the Municipal Corporation has started the process of terminating the contract by raising questions on its functioning. The Mayor clarified that there will be no compromise on transparency and quality in the public transport system of the city.
Mayor Pushyamitra said that the agencies which have suspicions or complaints against them will be removed. Soon the selection process of a new agency for BRTS will be started. For now, the system will continue under the supervision of the Municipal Corporation.
Former minister PC Sharma has congratulated the Indore mayor. He has demanded the cancellation of the Bhopal Metro tender on the lines of Indore. PC Sharma said that this poses a threat to the people of Bhopal. Terrorist activities can take place through remote. He also said that if the tender is not cancelled, Congress will take to the streets.
