Three Arrested in Bhind for Hotel Firing Incident; Illegal Weapons Seized

Bhind police have arrested three men responsible for a violent firing incident at Hotel Demand on the city bypass on the night of November 12, authorities confirmed. The accused had opened fire after being refused a free room, causing panic among staff and guests. Police have also seized illegal firearms and live ammunition from the suspects.

According to officials, the main accused, Golu Akoda, along with his associates Raman Bhadouria of Bilora and Babbu Shrivas of Umri, arrived at the hotel around 6 pm. The trio demanded a free room from the hotel staff. When the request was denied, they verbally abused and physically assaulted the hotel owner, Abhishek Singh Rajawat.

After leaving briefly, the men returned later that night, firing indiscriminately at the hotel. Initial attempts to shoot missed, but around 11 pm, they returned and fired 10–12 rounds at the hotel exterior. The gunfire shattered glass panes and left bullet marks on walls, creating widespread fear among nearby residents.

City Kotwali Police Station in-charge Brijendra Sengar said the incident was reported immediately, and an FIR was registered against the accused. Using technical surveillance and information from informants, police tracked and arrested all three suspects. Illegal weapons recovered included a Katta (homemade gun), a country-made pistol, and live cartridges.

Sengar added, “The arrests were made swiftly, and the seized weapons demonstrate the premeditated nature of the crime. The suspects have been produced in court and further investigation is underway to determine if others were involved.”

The police have assured residents that strict action will continue against illegal firearms and violent acts, emphasizing public safety in Bhind city. The arrests serve as a warning against intimidation and criminal activity in commercial establishments.

This case highlights ongoing concerns about armed threats in the region, prompting authorities to increase surveillance and rapid response measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
