Three Killed, Child Critical After Bike Rams Parked Truck in Rewa

A tragic road accident in Rewa district claimed the lives of three people, including an unidentified teenage girl, while an 8-year-old girl remains critically injured. The accident occurred on Sunday near Kalwari Mor, around 100 meters from the Gadh police station limits.

According to police, the motorcycle, carrying four individuals, rammed into a stationary truck parked by the roadside. The impact killed Suraj Giri (24) and Ravendra Saket (46) on the spot. A teenage girl riding pillion also succumbed to her injuries, while the young girl has been admitted to the ICU at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in critical condition.

One Victim Remains Unidentified

Gadh Police Station In-charge Avneesh Pandey confirmed that efforts are underway to identify the deceased girl. The families of the known victims have been informed. Identification was initiated using the motorbike's registration number, and postmortem procedures are being carried out in the presence of relatives.

Police Probe into Roadside Parking Norms

The police are investigating whether the parked truck was stationed legally and with safety protocols. Local residents reported the incident shortly after it happened, prompting immediate police response.

The circumstances under which the accident occurred—especially the visibility and warning signs for the parked vehicle—are now under scrutiny. The case has raised questions about road safety practices in rural Madhya Pradesh.
