Three Thieves Arrested for Burglary in Two Houses; Police Recover Stolen Goods Worth ₹35,000 from Farmland
Satna, MP
The Nagod police in Satna district have solved two burglary cases by arresting three suspects and recovering stolen items worth around ₹35,000 from a field where the culprits had hidden them.
Part of the stolen goods had already been sold to an acquaintance.
According to police, complainant Ravi Gautam lodged a report on October 24 stating that a theft took place at his house and his neighbor Anand Prasad Bajpai’s residence on the night of October 21–22. Acting on the complaint, officers reviewed CCTV footage from the locality, which revealed a few suspicious individuals.
Based on this footage, police detained Amit Kushwaha alias Raja for questioning. During interrogation, he confessed to committing the theft along with his associate Raja Prajapati. The accused also admitted to hiding the stolen goods in a nearby field and selling some items to Anuj Tamrakar.
Following their confession, police recovered a sack containing brass and bronze utensils, religious items, an electric hyper cleaner, floor mopping equipment, and other household articles.
All three — Raja Prajapati, Amit Kushwaha alias Raja, and Anuj Tamrakar — were arrested and produced before the court, which later sent them to judicial custody.
