Eight Madhya Pradesh Cities to Receive Swachhata Award, President Murmu to Honour Them in Delhi

Eight cities from Madhya Pradesh will be felicitated with the Swachhata Award for cleanliness. President Draupadi Murmu will present the awards at a ceremony in Delhi today.
Eight cities of Madhya Pradesh will be honoured today for their outstanding performance in the field of cleanliness. President Draupadi Murmu will give awards to these cities in a national programme organised at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. Indore, Ujjain and Budhni will be honoured in the Super League category, which have been consistently performing well for the last three years.
Bhopal, Dewas and Shahganj will be awarded the President's Award. Jabalpur will be awarded in the special category and Gwalior will be awarded the state level award. On this occasion, Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, State Minister Pratima Bagri, Mayors of Indore and Bhopal along with departmental officials will receive the awards. On the same day, the results of the star rating of garbage free cities and categories of open defecation free cities, such as ODF++ and Water+, will also be announced. This event underlines the commitment of the cities of Madhya Pradesh towards cleanliness under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
