Promotion Policy Proposal Likely Today

The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, is set to convene today to discuss a long-awaited promotion policy. After a nine-year hiatus, over 4.75 lakh government employees are expected to benefit from promotions based on seniority. The proposal, which has already been cleared at the secretary level, will be presented for Cabinet approval, potentially ending the long-standing promotion freeze.
A cabinet meeting will be held today i.e. on 17th June under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. This meeting will be held in the ministry at 11 am on Tuesday, in which many important proposals can be approved. A proposal for promotion policy can come in this meeting, in which merit list will be prepared on the basis of seniority.
State service officers will get advance promotion like IAS, IPS officers. Officers will not have to wait for promotion. There will be provision for 20 percent ST category, 16 percent SC category officers in promotion. After the proposal is approved in the cabinet, the way for promotion will open. In the cabinet meeting, the proposal to approve Rs 5168 crore for infrastructure to power companies can get approval. Apart from this, many important proposals can also be approved.
