Tragedy in Village: Two Orphan Siblings Die in Well Incident

Shahdol. A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh. Three children of the same family jumped into a well in Banasukli village late Tuesday evening. Two children died on the spot in this accident. While a sister has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition. The whole matter is of Sidhi police station area.

Actually, all three children are orphans and are siblings. Yesterday, elder sister Anju Baiga along with her middle sister and younger brother Ritesh reached a well located near a house built in the field and jumped. In this accident, Ritesh Baiga (younger brother) and Anju Baiga (elder sister) died, while the third sister is seriously injured. She was immediately admitted to the nearest hospital, where her treatment is going on.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police of Sidhi police station immediately reached the spot and a rescue operation was conducted with the help of local villagers. After a lot of hard work, both the bodies were taken out of the well. The injured sister was rescued in time.

Reason for suicide not clear

According to the information received, all three children were already deprived of the shadow of their parents. They lived in a house located near their farm. At present, the reason for committing suicide by jumping into the well could not be ascertained. The police have collected evidence from the spot and serious investigation of the matter is going on. Prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide, but the police has started questioning the family members and villagers to know the reason behind the suicide.

Police station in-charge engaged in investigation

Giving information in this case, Sidhi police station in-charge Rajkumar Mishra said that information about three children of the same family jumping into the well was received late in the evening. After reaching the spot, with the help of local people, the bodies of two children have been recovered and one is serious. The matter is being investigated and action is being taken.
