Tragic Drowning of Minor in River; SDRF Recovers Body
The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was called in and, after a two-hour search, successfully recovered his body. The incident has deeply affected the local community, highlighting the dangers of unsupervised swimming in natural water bodies.
This accident happened when three friends went to take bath at Ghogra Ghat of Kulbehra river Chindwada, MP. As soon as the information of the accident was received, the Kotwali police and SDRF team reached the spot and after hours of effort the body was taken out of the river.
How did the accident happen?
The incident happened around 5 pm. Faiz Khan (16), son of Anish Khan, resident of Diwachipura, had reached Kulbehra river to take bath with his two friends. While bathing, Faiz drowned in the water due to suddenly going deep and could not come out. Two other boys present with him, Numan (15) and Arhan (12) somehow came out safely and immediately informed the people.
Promptness of police and SDRF
As soon as the information was received, Kotwali police station in-charge Umesh Gohlani reached the spot with his team. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, the SDRF team was informed through the police control room.
SI Narayan Baghel, ASI Brajesh Raghuvanshi, Constable Nikki Vishwakarma, Constable Vikas Bais and SDRF team conducted a joint search operation. Finally, Faiz's body was taken out of the river in a short time.
Body in mortuary, investigation continues
Faiz Khan's body has been kept safe in the mortuary room for post-mortem. Police have registered a case and started investigation by establishing a case.
According to the police, the family members of the deceased have been informed and the friends present at the time of the incident are being questioned.
