A shocking road accident in Satna has once again highlighted the dangers of reckless driving on city roads. On Wednesday afternoon, a speeding and uncontrolled tractor slammed into a motorbike rider, dragging the elderly man along before its wheels ran over him. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, showing the victim helplessly waving for help while trapped.

Locals who gathered at the spot pulled the injured man out from under the tractor. He was immediately rushed to Birla Hospital, where doctors say he is now out of danger despite sustaining serious injuries.

Uncontrolled Vehicle from Front

The accident occurred in the Sindhi Camp area under Kolgaon police station limits. The victim, identified as 61-year-old Rajkaran Kewat, a resident of Gram Mand Mohanna, was riding his Pulsar motorcycle (MP19 MF 1463) when the tractor came hurtling towards him from the opposite direction.

Eyewitnesses said Kewat tried to move his bike to the side upon seeing the approaching tractor lose control. However, the vehicle hit him directly, dragging both the rider and the bike towards a nearby shop's stairs. The tractor's front and rear wheels passed over his chest area before the vehicle finally stopped after colliding with the steps.

Kewat remained pinned between the rear tyre and the concrete stairs for several moments. In the disturbing video, he can be seen desperately gesturing with his hands, appealing to onlookers for immediate help. The tractor driver, instead of stopping to assist, abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.

Injuries and Medical Update

Doctors at Birla Hospital confirmed that Rajkaran Kewat suffered multiple rib fractures. He was admitted to the post-operative ward for observation and treatment. Despite the severity of the impact, his condition has been described as stable and out of danger.

Hospital sources said prompt rescue by locals and quick medical attention helped prevent a worse outcome. Family members reached the hospital soon after the incident and are attending to him.

Police Launch Search for Driver

Kolgaon TI Sudip Soni confirmed that a case has been registered and teams are actively searching for the tractor driver. "We are looking for the accused tractor operator. Further legal action will be taken once the medico-legal case (MLC) report is available," the officer stated.

Police are examining the CCTV footage closely to identify the vehicle and its driver. The tractor has been seized from the spot for forensic examination. Authorities have appealed to anyone with additional information about the driver to come forward.
