Ward-72 to be Developed at a Cost of Rs 6.50 Crores: Mayor Pushya Mitra Bhargava Performs Foundation Stone Laying

Development works worth Rs 6.50 crores were inaugurated on Tuesday in Ward-72 of the city by Mayor Pushya Mitra Bhargava and MLA Malini Gaud. Under this development plan, construction of school buildings, laying of drainage lines, renovation of gardens, and cementing of roads will be carried out. This initiative is a significant step toward making Ward-72 clean, safe, and equipped with better facilities.

During the foundation stone laying ceremony, Mayor Pushya Mitra Bhargava said that the BJP government prioritizes equal development in every ward of the city. "Along with cleanliness, focus is also on building the future Indore," he said. Thirteen development projects have been approved for Ward-72, including renovation of various parks, construction of a yoga shed, and building new roads.

The mayor added that these works will improve the quality of life for residents and strengthen basic amenities. Ward councilor Yogesh Gendar, assembly organization officials, former public representatives, municipal corporation officials, engineering staff, and local residents were present on the occasion.

Key Development Works and Budget:

  • Renovation of Lokmanya Nagar Garden: Rs 34 lakh

  • Bheru Baba Temple Garden: Rs 32 lakh

  • Renovation of Sai Mandir Garden: Rs 34.5 lakh

  • Renovation of Indira Gandhi Nagar Round Garden: Rs 28 lakh

  • Yoga Shed Construction (Zone 15): Rs 18 lakh

  • Paver Block Laying (Siddharth Nagar): Rs 15 lakh

  • Renovation of Silver Palace Colony Garden: Rs 19 lakh

  • Cementing roads in Vinay Nagar lanes 1, 2, and 3: Rs 72 lakh

  • New road construction from Alankar Palace to Kesarbagh railway crossing: Rs 17.5 lakh

  • Moon Palace Drainage Line Improvement Work: Rs 29 lakh
