People troubled by waterlogging due to rain in DD Nagar, Adityapuram and other areas of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, today opened a front against the Municipal Corporation administration. A large number of women and men blocked the DD Nagar intersection, due to which more than 3000 vehicles got stuck in the jam on Bhind Road.
This jam is affecting the vehicles going from Gwalior to Bhind and Bhind to Gwalior as well as the vehicles of the local people.
The protesters say that due to the poor sewer system, there is a situation of waterlogging in their areas, due to which dirty water from sewer and drains is entering the houses. Despite complaining many times, no action was taken by the Municipal Corporation officials and public representatives. People were forced to take the path of blockade and clearly said that until their problem is resolved, they will not leave the protest.
