Women Cut Bag, Steal ₹90K Outside Bank in Shivpuri

Shivpuri bank theft case where ₹90,000 was stolen outside SBI branch using blade-cut bag trick captured in CCTV footage.

A surprising daylight theft has been reported from Madhya Pradeshs Shivpuri district, where two unidentified women allegedly executed a carefully planned act to steal cash from a young man outside a bank branch. The entire incident, which took place near an SBI branch, was later captured on CCTV, helping police begin their investigation.

Incident Near SBI Branch in Karera

The case is from the Karera police station area, where 26-year-old Akash Srivastava, a resident of village Dumghana, had visited the State Bank of India branch on Gandhi Road. Akash works at an SBI Kiosk Bank located at Futa Talab and had come to the branch for official cash withdrawal purposes.

Cash Withdrawal Before the Incident

According to information, Akash withdrew 1.60 lakh through a cheque from the account of kiosk operator Saurabh Srivastava. After receiving the cash, he placed the entire amount inside his bag and left the bank premises, unaware of what was about to happen outside.

Carefully Planned Distraction Strategy

As soon as he stepped out of the bank, two women allegedly positioned themselves near the exit. One of them started a conversation with him to distract his attention, while the second quietly moved behind him. Taking advantage of the moment, she used a sharp blade to cut open his bag without being noticed.

Discovery of Missing Cash

After reaching his kiosk workplace, Akash opened his bag and realized that 90,000 was missing. Shocked by the loss, he immediately returned to the bank and reviewed the CCTV footage to understand what had happened.

CCTV Footage Reveals the Crime

The surveillance footage clearly showed the coordinated act. One woman was seen engaging the victim in conversation, while the other discreetly cut his bag and removed the cash. The footage confirmed that the theft was pre-planned and executed with precision.

Police Action and Investigation

Following the complaint filed by Akash Srivastava, Karera police registered a case against unidentified women on Wednesday. Authorities have begun analyzing CCTV footage and are actively working to identify and trace the suspects involved in the incident.
