'Wushu' sports management: HC sought answer on the formation of the committee, the new committee appointed by the MP government was dissolved by the Association of India

The Jabalpur High Court has taken cognizance of the formation of the committee formed for the operation of 'Wushu' sport in Madhya Pradesh. The court has issued a notice to the President of the Wushu Association of India and others and sought a reply. 4 weeks have been given for this.

In fact, despite the formation of the committee of the Wushu Association of the Madhya Pradesh government, the Wushu Association of India had formed a new body. Also, the committee formed by the government was dissolved. Gorakhpur SDM was made the administrator over the dispute between the two committees in the Madhya Pradesh Wushu Association.

The committee formed by the Wushu Association of India was described as constitutional

The administrator had formed a new committee by conducting elections in January 2025. On 20 December 2024, the Wushu Association of India constituted the third committee on its own. The committee appointed by the administrator had challenged the formation of the third committee in the High Court. The committee appointed by the administrator had termed the committee constituted by the Wushu Association of India as constitutional.

These questions were asked in the petition

Wushu Association and Madhya Pradesh Secretary Manoj Gupta have filed a petition. Lawyer Dinesh Upadhyay has presented his side in the petition. The petition asked why the decision was taken after the formation of the new committee of Madhya Pradesh Wushu Association? Why did the Wushu Association of India not form a committee before the administrator was appointed? It was also asked why interference is being made after the administrator has legally formed the committee by conducting elections?
