Yadav Community Protests in Datia: Calls SC/ST Case Against Teacher and Her Husband False, Demands Fair Investigation
Datia, MP
On Monday, members of the Yadav community and the Veer Ahir Nirman Sena staged a strong protest at the SP office in Datia district, Madhya Pradesh.
The demonstration was in response to a case filed under the SC/ST Act against Vinod Kumari Yadav, a teacher from Udguwan village, and her husband Ramnaresh Yadav, a district panchayat member. Protesters alleged that the case is completely false and motivated by personal vendetta.
During the protest, representatives of the community submitted a memorandum to SDOP Vinayak Shukla, demanding a fair investigation. They warned that if action is not taken soon, the matter will be escalated to the Backward Classes Commission.
Serious Allegations Previously Made by the Teacher
The protesters stated that Vinod Kumari Yadav had earlier made serious allegations of harassment and financial misappropriation against her colleagues Surendra Pratap Dohre and Uttam Kumar Mehoriya, who work at the same school. Police cases had been registered in those matters. According to the Yadav community, the same accused are now using their influence to file false counter-allegations to weaken the previous complaints.
Alleged Use of False Case to Create Pressure
The memorandum claimed that the SC/ST case against the teacher and her husband was filed out of revenge and with the intention of mentally harassing them to force them to withdraw their earlier complaints. The community described the move as a conspiracy against the justice system and an attack on the dignity and security of the backward classes.
Demand for Fair Investigation
The protesters highlighted that Ramnaresh Yadav is an active social worker and a member of the permanent agriculture committee of the district panchayat. They expressed concern that filing a case against such an individual without solid evidence is highly troubling. They warned that if the administration fails to ensure a fair investigation, the community would resort to a larger protest, and the responsibility for any escalation would lie with the police and administration.
SDOP Vinayak Shukla received the memorandum and assured the protesters of a fair and transparent investigation. The case is currently under investigation.
What is the Case About?
According to available information, on May 31, based on a court order, the Kotwali police registered an FIR under the SC/ST Act against Vinod Kumari Yadav and her husband Ramnaresh Yadav. The complainant, Surendra Pratap Dohre, alleged that Vinod Kumari used casteist slurs against him and that on March 11, near a workshop, she and her husband assaulted him and hurled caste-based abuses.
