Yoga & Self-Defense Training in Shahdol

300 students getting special training under PM Usha Project.

 

A special initiative has been taken in Shahdol to make today's young generation healthy, self-reliant and safe. A 15-day training camp of yoga and self-defense has started at Pandit Shambhunath Shukla University under the Pradhan Mantri Usha Project. About 300 students have been included in it.

This scene of Pandit Shambhunath Shukla University of Shahdol is not of any playground or gym but of a special training camp. Here, under the Pradhan Mantri Usha Project, students are being taught the nuances of yoga and self-defense. In this training camp running from 1st to 15th, students are being taught yoga postures and karate techniques for two hours every day.

About 300 students are not only becoming physically and mentally strong through this training, but are also learning the tricks of self-defense. Self-defense training is being provided to female students in particular so that they can protect themselves in any emergency situation. Trainers say that such training increases the confidence of the youth manifold. This 15-day training camp started in Shahdol can prove to be a milestone for the coming generation. Yoga strengthens the body and mind, while self-defense gives assurance of safety. This is the real purpose of this special initiative.
