Youth Beaten to Death; Mob Sets Vehicles on Fire in Bhind: Police Deploy Forces Amid Rising Tension

A brutal act of violence in Bhind district has left a young man dead and the village on edge.
The incident occurred late Saturday night in Raipura village, Daboh, stemming from a longstanding feud between two local groups.
According to police, five individuals attacked 35-year-old Rudra Pratap Singh Jatav with sticks and rods, leaving him critically injured. His maternal uncle was also severely hurt in the assault and had to be rushed to Gwalior for treatment. Despite efforts to save him, Rudra Pratap succumbed to his injuries on the way.
Angered by the attack, members of the Jatav community retaliated by setting fire to the assailants’ car and motorcycle and damaging property at their homes. Considering the rising tension, authorities have deployed additional police forces in the village to prevent further clashes.
Superintendent of Police Asit Yadav arrived at the scene following reports of violence and fires. The police have filed a murder case against the accused: Ranveer Kaurav, Anshu Kaurav, Prahlad Kaurav, Rajeev Kaurav, and Kunwar Singh Kaurav. A separate case has also been registered regarding the arson and property damage.
This tragic incident underscores the dangers of ongoing feuds in rural areas and the urgent need for conflict resolution to prevent further loss of life.
