Apple has officially launched its latest premium smartphones, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, in India. The new Pro models headline Apple's 2026 iPhone lineup and introduce the company's latest A20 Pro processor, display changes and battery improvements.
The iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900 for the 256GB variant, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max carries a starting price of ₹1,79,900 for 256GB.
Apple will begin accepting pre-orders on September 12, with the two smartphones going on sale through Apple Stores and other retail channels from September 18.
The launch also marks an unusual change to Apple's traditional iPhone strategy, with the company unveiling the Pro models alongside its first foldable iPhone while holding back the standard iPhone 18.
iPhone 18 Pro India Price
The iPhone 18 Pro is priced at ₹1,64,900 for the 256GB storage configuration.
The larger iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at ₹1,79,900, also with 256GB storage.
This represents a substantial increase over the previous-generation Pro model. The iPhone 17 Pro was introduced in India at a starting price of ₹1,34,000, making the new Pro model significantly more expensive.
Apple is positioning the Pro and Pro Max as its premium flagship smartphones, with the larger model offering the highest battery endurance in the new lineup.
Sale and Pre-Order Details
Customers in India will be able to pre-order the new iPhone 18 Pro models from September 12.
The smartphones will officially become available from September 18 through Apple Stores and retail outlets.
The devices are offered in four colour options: Black, Light Blue, Burgundy and Silver.
The early availability gives Apple an opportunity to capitalise on demand for its latest flagship devices, particularly among customers looking for upgraded cameras, performance and battery life.
Design Gets Subtle Changes

The iPhone 18 Pro is claimed to offer around 36 hours of video playback, matching the battery endurance previously associated with the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max goes further, with Apple claiming up to 45 hours of video playback, making it the longest-lasting iPhone in the company's lineup.
The improvements are particularly significant for users who rely heavily on streaming, gaming, photography and other power-intensive activities.
Pro Models Lead 2026 Lineup
