Serious questions have been raised over the credibility of water quality testing in Bhopal after municipal staff were found declaring even drain water as “pure” during ward-level water hearings, allegedly by testing only chlorine levels and ignoring most mandatory parameters. The issue has triggered political backlash and forced the civic administration to order corrective measures.
