The Chhattisgarh State Election Commission has initiated preparations for the municipal and three-tier panchayat general and by-elections scheduled for 2026, with more than 1,000 vacant posts identified across the state. The decision was taken at a high-level review meeting chaired by State Election Commissioner Ajay Singh at the Commission’s office in Nava Raipur on Tuesday.
