The Chhattisgarh government has imposed a temporary ban on government procurement to maintain fiscal discipline and prevent unnecessary spending at the end of the financial year. According to an order issued by the Finance Department, the restriction will remain in force from February 15, 2026, to March 31, 2026. During this period, no new government purchases will be permitted under normal circumstances, except with prior approval from the Finance Department in special cases.
