The Madhya Pradesh government on Tuesday suspended Dewas Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Anand Malviya after a serious factual discrepancy was found in an official order related to deaths allegedly caused by contaminated water in Indore. The action followed strong objections raised by Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya over both the incorrect data cited in the order and the language used by the officer.
