A moderate earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale struck the Leh region of Ladakh on Monday morning, triggering tremors across parts of northern India and neighbouring regions. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) confirmed that the quake occurred at 11:51:14 am IST at a depth of 171 kilometres, with its epicentre located at 36.71°N latitude and 74.32°E longitude. No casualties or damage to property have been reported so far.
