Makar Sankranti was celebrated with religious fervour and community participation across Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, with thousands of devotees gathering at rivers, temples and public grounds to mark the auspicious occasion. The Rajim Triveni Sangam in Gariaband district emerged as a major centre of faith, where devotees braved the biting cold to take a ritual dip and offer prayers at dawn.
