President Droupadi Murmu will visit Jagdalpur on February 7 to inaugurate the divisional-level Bastar Pandum at the Lalbagh Ground, marking a significant moment for the tribal-dominated Bastar region. The visit will make Murmu the fifth President of India to set foot in Bastar. The last presidential visit to the region took place eight years ago, when then President Ram Nath Kovind toured Dantewada in July 2018.
