Since the month of Sawan arrives, women start eagerly waiting for Hariyali Teej. Hariyali Teej is celebrated on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Shravan month. On this day both married and unmarried girls observe fast. There is special significance of worshipping Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva on this day. Shravani Teej is also called Hariyali Teej. Married women observe fast on this day for the long life of their husband.

When is Hariyali Teej?

Hariyali Teej will be celebrated on Sunday, 27 July this year. According to the Hindu calendar, Sawan Shukla Tritiya Tithi will start on 26 July at 10:41 pm and this date will remain till 10:41 pm on 27 July. According to the Udaya date, Hariyali Teej will be celebrated on July 27. On this day, the auspicious coincidence of Ravi Yoga is also being made, which will start from 4:23 pm and will last till 5:40 am on July 28. Worshiping and fasting in Ravi Yoga is considered to give very auspicious results.

Significance of Puja

Hariyali Teej is an important Hindu festival. It is a symbol of the reunion of Bholenath and Mother Parvati. There is special significance of worshiping Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva on this day. According to religious beliefs, Mother Parvati did very hard penance to get Bholenath as her husband. She did penance for 108 births and after that got Bholenath as her husband. By worshiping on this day, married women are blessed with unbroken good fortune. Women who worship with a true heart on this day, their married life is always happy
