Temple Visit? Avoid These Common Mistakes

Learn the key mistakes to avoid before visiting a temple to ensure your worship is complete and spiritually fulfilling.

Everyone knows the rules of temple entry in Hinduism. Wear clean clothes, take off shoes and slippers, go after taking a bath. But often some small mistakes are made unknowingly, if not taken care of, the full benefit of worship is not obtained.


Common Mistakes Before Visiting Temple

1. Many times people take a bath, but while going to the temple, they eat or drink something on the way. It is believed that one should not enter the temple immediately after eating.

2. Many devotees pick up flowers or prasad directly from the roadside. This is considered impure, prasad should be prepared at home in a pure environment.

3. Talking loudly or joking in the temple is also wrong. The environment there is for meditation and devotion.

4. Many people blow out the incense sticks or diya when it goes off, whereas it is prohibited in the scriptures.

What to pay attention to

Before entering the temple, control your mind and speech. Always prepare the prasad for puja material with pure intentions. Leave the mobile and worldly conversations outside the door. Only then will you get the right result of the puja and mental peace
