After Hania, Instagram Accounts of These Pakistani Celebs Blocked

Mumbai: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, some Pakistani stars' Instagram accounts were blocked in India. Initially, names like Hania Aamir and Mahira Khan were included in this list. Now, the list has expanded to include Pakistani singer Atif Aslam, actor Fawad Khan, and singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The blocking of these three Instagram accounts has sparked discussions on social media. Many users have expressed concerns, saying that they are now worried about Coke Studio Pakistan as well.

After the Instagram accounts of Fawad Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, and Atif Aslam were blocked in India, one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "This is getting serious, what will happen to Coke Studio Pakistan?" Another user commented, "Atif Aslam sir is also gone. Now I'm worried that Coke Studio might get banned."

It is important to note that this action was taken after the Pahalgam terror attack. This year, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan was set to make his Bollywood comeback with the release of his film Abir Gulal on May 9. However, following the Pahalgam terror attack, a ban was imposed on his film.

It is important to mention that on April 22, a terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The attack targeted tourists who were visiting Kashmir. Around 28 people lost their lives in this attack. Since then, there has been widespread anger across the country against Pakistan and terrorism.

This action was taken after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, on April 22, in which 26 people were killed. Following the attack, India took stringent measures against Pakistan, including blocking social media accounts.

Pakistani Celebrities Whose Instagram Accounts Have Been Blocked:

• Hania Aamir – The popular Pakistani actress whose Instagram account is now unavailable in India.

• Mahira Khan – The renowned actress, whose account has also been blocked in India.

• Ali Zafar – Singer and actor, whose Instagram account has been restricted in India.

• Atif Aslam – The popular singer, whose account is also blocked in India.

• Fawad Khan – The Pakistani actor, whose Instagram account is no longer accessible in India.

• Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan – Pakistani cricketers, whose accounts have been blocked in India.

• Arshad Nadeem – The Pakistani Olympic gold medalist, whose Instagram account has also been blocked in India.

• Bilal Abbas, Sanam Saeed, Iqra Aziz, Imran Abbas, Sajal Aly – Other Pakistani actors and actresses whose Instagram accounts are no longer accessible in India.

This move was part of the Indian government's legal requests to social media platforms to block "controversial and sensitive content."
